Internal links point to old URL
« on: May 24, 2012, 05:52:28 PM »
Since changing my URL from .co.uk to .net all internal links still point to .co.uk, I ran repair_settings but that didn't help.
Illori very kindly gave me the method to cure it, a database query
Quote
update smf_messages set body = replace(body, 'oldurl', 'newurl');
I have tried to understand how to do the query in phpMyAdmin, sadly my old brain hasn't been able to work it out. Can someone please give me some guideance.

put it in the sql tab once you have entered [click] your database on the left.

Many thanks Illori, :)
I had read pages about running a query, but none were as simple as your answer to understand.
